2010 In the Auburn Reporter, on the role of the Jumpstart Coalition for Financial Literacy in Washington State. "Money also remains a forbidden topic for many struggling families," Twight pointed out. The discouraged dialogue in homes brings into focus the importance of providing financial literacy in schools and elsewhere, the coalition insists. 2008 In the fall of 2008, Dana was involved in a Newspapers In Education Insert called "Getting Smart About Your Money" at The Seattle Times. It was a great partnership with the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions. In addition to area high school classrooms this insert was distributed to many credit unions throughout the State of Washington. 2005 2005 April issue of Parent Map on financial education and students - Excerpt Says Twight, "If our children have a chance to learn about money management sooner... then they have a chance to learn positive things about saving, investing and charitable giving at an earlier age.
